Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Pin and String (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the website and board editor.

Information we collect

  • Guest boards: content stays in your browser. Images you add as a guest are not uploaded to our servers.
  • Patreon login: we receive your Patreon identity, display name, avatar, and membership status needed to verify support.
  • Saved boards (supporters): board JSON, titles, and images are stored in our database and private object storage.
  • Advertising: if you are not a supporter, Google AdSense may collect device and usage data as described in Google’s policies. EU consent is managed through AdSense Privacy & messaging — we do not show a separate cookie banner.

How we use data

We use account and board data to provide the product, verify Patreon support, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information.

Retention

Guest data is cleared when you close or clear the browser. Saved boards remain until you delete them or close your supporter account workflow.

Your choices

You can log out at any time, delete saved boards from My boards, or become a supporter to remove ads. For deletion of account records, contact us via Patreon.
